Xbox Live Question

So, I've recently purchases an Xbox 360. I don't have many games, and have been playing Halo:Reach on it exclusively since purchase. Well I popped in some other games such as MW2 so I can learn to play CoD on Xbox, and I can't join games. I read online about the NAT Type being Strict making it difficult to find games, but I have no idea how to change it. Help?

eesh I had the exact same problem....I called Xbox live and after waiting for an extensive period of time they told me it wasn't a problem with live or something I could fix at home, but I would have to call my internet provider. That was years ago and I don't play anymore, mainly because xbox live was more of a pain in the ass for me than its was fun.... Good luck maybe someone else on here can give you better advice

go to portforwarding.com. find your router model. follow the instructions to forward the ports for xbox live 360.

It's most likely a router/modem issue. Typically if you just did a "easy setup" with a router cd or disc it most likely just did basic settings and didn't setup the router for being accessed with that. If you go to bungie.net I think for halo and follow the steps on which port/ip address to open up for gaming etc. What router do you have?

I'm not using wireless. I'm plugged straight in to the wall.

it's a router issue, you need to google how to change it and you should be able to fix it, it's not hard to do.

Even with being plugged into the wall, it's a port issue. Mine has a web-based interface that allows me to set 1 of my devices into a DMZ, opening the NAT up for gaming on that device.
