Stanford is making a pretty good showing in the standings with just as difficult academic standards as ND and without half the history and prestige of ND. Georgia Tech also has standards up there with these two and has had success recently.

Harbaugh has done very well at Stanford, but Stanford doesn't have the target on it's back that ND does... other teams don't get up to play Stanford like they do ND because of that very same history and prestige.

Hire the coach that couldn't win in college after we draft the QB that couldn't win in college. Why not take it a step farther and start picking up guys that weren't good enough to get scholarships?

I guess they should start Pike immediately because his team went 12-1 last year.

Stanford is to be commended but like I said before, they don't have the target on their back that ND does... other teams don't get up to play Stanford like they do ND.

I would like him as a OC. I'm just not sure he would work out as a head coach. One he did'nt take the irish to the next level like he was suppose to. And it would be even tougher for him to be a HC in the NFL. I doubt he would be any better than what Romeo Crenel (sp) was when he was coaching the browns.
