Clausen has a chance to be Panthers' elite quarterback

Maybe it was the gray sky above Carolina's practice field or the cool weather or the light rain. But Wednesday felt like the 29th of November, not September. And Carolina's record felt more like 0-10 than 0-3.p/The only thing to like about this season is that the Panthers have found their quarterback. Barring injury, Jimmy Clausen is as entrenched at his position as tackle Jordan Gross is at his.

I love reading the comments at the bottom of those articles.....they make even the worst posters here(PantherFanForLife...you know who you are) look like members of a think tank.

the bottom comments of the observer are the best....its almost always one big conservative circle jerk

I'm sorry, but that's another horrible article by Sorensen. It's way too early to say that we've found our quarterback:

The only thing to like about this season is that the Panthers have found their quarterback. Barring injury, Jimmy Clausen is as entrenched at his position as tackle Jordan Gross is at his.

Clausen has offered only glimpses of his potential. But I'm certain he'll be the best passer the Panthers have ever had, and I think he'll be the best quarterback.

I like Clausen and I think he's shown some promise, but it's ridiculous to assume he's going to be the best quarterback we've had. I'm optimistic and hope that's the case.

And if I'm not mistaken, Sorensen's already written a similar article to this one.

Gantt gets a lot of criticism on this forum, but he's far and away the Panthers best beat writer. That's never more apparent than when I read something by Sorensen or Fowler.
