Shouldve signed V.i.c.k. when we could have

Why are we debating this. Truth is that JR would never sign him ever. Not now not a year from now, not ever. So why not let it go.

Because it makes our owner and franchise look very bad, considering we suck badly this year and Michael Vick has looked great thru the first 3 games. Part of JR's legacy here in Charlotte will be that he passed on Vick, a proven pro bowl caliber QB who wants to be here, to start journeymen and "potential" guys that may not pan out. It'll be remembered with other blunders like Jake's contract and the Gilbert trade. If Vick hadnt came out and said he wanted to be here, I dont think it would be talked about. But for him to make it clear he wants to play for the Panthers and they still wouldnt budge, shows how much this team and franchise is not motivated by winning or giving their fans what they want. Its a money thing here, and an NFL thing here. I can guarantee the next owner of the Carolina Panthers will not be able to operate like that and wont be given the lifetime "benefit of the doubt" Mr.Richardson has received for leading a losing franchise.
