Vick is not a long term solution and would have held back Moore and Clausen. We could have picked up other folks besides Vick if we wanted a veteran. Besides I really dislike him. He is no leader and not much of a man. Certainly not the kind of person i would want my children to emulate or look up to.

I actually don't want to disagree with this guy. Even though at the time, it made since not to sign Vick... given that they had already put their trust in Matt Moore, and then got Jimmy in the draft. But think about the situation in Philly, and then look at our situation. Pretty much the same situation. Had we grabbed Vick from Philly, we'd have a better option to go to. Fox could've benched Moore for Vick and let Clausen ride the bench this year. Had Vick succeeded, they could have then used him as trade bate. Or kept him while letting Jimmy ride the bench for another year.

Regardless of what he did in his past, you can't deny the man's capabilities on the field. I watched the Eagles @ Jags game this past weekend, and I couldn't help but imagine what our offense would've looked like with Vick under center.

The problems with this team go way beyond the QB position.

If Vick had started for us, he'd be getting squashed like we used to squash him towards the end of his Falcons run.

The formula for beating Vick hasn't changed.

1. Stack the box

2. Blitz

3. Break QB's leg

4. profit???

And the way our O-line has been blocking, #2 of said formula would almost assuredly work.

Well... if we had the Mike Vick that is playing now than we would be unstoppable and Smith would probably have at least 350 yds receiving by now. But it's also possible that our QB coach could have regressed him anyway. He would make the rest of the team look a lot better.

If we would have aquired M Vick I honestly believe he wouldnt being currently playing at the level he is now. Just think about it first and foremost Andy Reid is a sensational qb coach/offensive mind known for developing qb's....WE DONT HAVE THAT.....he has developed Vick in the last 12-13 months into what he is now. He would still have the skill set he has OF COURSE but the way he uses it now scanning the field to find different targets (which we dont have) etc.... So yeah it sounds good I actually wish we would have but shitttt if you think the curent Vick would be the guy on our roster your f**kN dreaming. That has come from GREAT TUTELAGE PLEASE BELEIVE IT.
