Most teams would take that leap and draft their next No. 1 wide receiver while their current one is still playing. Perhaps LaFell is that guy for us, but right now we'd be insane to get rid of Smith.

Yes, our WR corps would likely be the worst in NFL history if we traded Smith mid-season. But really, his performance on the field this year isn't going to change this team's direction, salvage this season, or relieve any of our collective misery.

Or gain me any fantasy football points. He's sucking this year. Why because he's not getting the ball, and with out the ball he can't perform.

So lets trade him to a team that can get him the ball so that we can win me a fantasy football championship. I'd greatly appreciate it.

Can't say that I'm surprised. Considering the whole team is 28 or under it makes sense. It'll be sad to see considering how popular the guy is but if u can get some Tru value for him then why not? We can find some way to trade for avet aka T.J."not used in Baltimore" Houshmanzedah.

Sure it would be sad, but it would be one of the few times in recent years a team has done right by a player in giving them a chance to win a ring. Steve Smith epitomizes what the Panthers are about, tenacity and the never give-up attitude. Unfortunately he's a miracle away from winning one here.
