this sounds right. Im concerned about Brees Knees...hah, just had to get that in there. If Carolina doesnt pressure Brees, he will kill you. Plain and simple.

If Carolina cant get the running game going, then it will be tough for them to win.

Anything can happen for sure...but i dont see Carolina winning this game. Saints are mad. Payton is mad. Carolina is going to get their best.

Without Peppers we can't apply consistant pressure on any QB in the NFL. We don't have a dominant pass rusher in a scheme that requires at least one. The Bears have something similar to what we would need to be a competitive team. Even if the Saints come out flat and play very poorly in the first half, the game will still be close going into the second half. I don't even want to think about what Brees will do to our lame duck defense in the 4th quarter.

On offense I think we can run the ball to keep a few drives alive. Jimmy might throw a TD pass, or we might run in a TD. The best we can hope for is that we can limit our turnovers to less than 3, just so we don't lose 40-13, or worse. This Panther team is outstanding at losing the fooball in a wide variety of comical ways. Ever see a RB launch a fumble through the air over 10 yards? Our only chance of winning is if our o-line can come out and totally dominate the Saints d-line for 4 quarters. Our scrub backup RT is a JAG (just a guy) taking up space. Our new RG blows. LT Gross is playing like he wants to retire. LG Wharton is fighting hard, and he's a good run blocker, but it's not enough. C Kalil is getting absolutely destroyed in pass protection (short arms), and his run blocking is average at best. Things are looking terrible, and I'm not even going to bother talking about our passing game and our idiot OC.

I would kill for last years team minus Jake and plus Jimmy. We could win. Unforturnately we have a bargain budget team that probably won't start playing well until the season is nearly over (if at all).

Dreamland nonsense:

We're going to get great pressure on Brees. We won't miss Peppers! He wasn't a major loss! He was loser who didn't play hard enough.

We have a talented team, our problem is execution.

The game will be close.

Otah will not be in game shape. I don't want him out there this week. Then again, the Saints suck at stopping the run so it may break even if he could go. Keep Brees off the field. Jimmy will have to hit his 3rd down passes to keep drives alive. Rosario, King, Gettis, and LaFell all need to be ready. And man we better protect Jimmy. Greg Williams likes to hurt QBs, and our O-Line couldn't stop a tumbling toddler right now.

Jordan Gross isn't in game shape either.

Falcons beat them by running the ball right down their throat 50 times... the NFL playbook guys showed how badly the Falcons offensive line and FB man-handled the Saints front 7.

Create some pressure on Brees with a few blitzes and run the ball down their throat, that's the only recepie for victory.

I hate to be the one to say it but you guys need to get off run the ball early. If we can't show a team that we can move the ball down field with a passing game there is no way in hell the running game is going to ever work. We got to get out of the 9 guys in the box or put 4 recievers out wide and then try to run it. The team we are to face in the future is going to watch the film of the last 3 game and see that we don't have a passing game. so they for to pressure clausen that is a rookie and put one guy on the reciever. Carolina only send one reciever may two down field when we run the ball. The best running back in NFL history can run on them odds. Some Please let them come out this week with short passes for a few yards at a time until we get better odds to run the ball or just pack their bag get back to carolina for they can practice more.

This is tough... 2 sacks in 3 games because we have an undersized DL and refuse to blitz, our CB's play 10 yds off the line of scrimmage, Marshall sucks and Gamble is a nickleback at best and our Safeties miss assignments and blow deep coverage.

Panthers dominate!!!

We're blitzing, but it just hasn't been as effective as I had hoped.
