No turn overs and our d take advantage of any chances they have for making NO turn it over to us. We are going to need a defensive td or two in order to beat the aints.

Hairless, if I were you I'd go ahead and order a dozen bagels for Monday....b/c you will still be bageled then

Few things I'm worried about:

Pierre Thomas blowing up against us. They have a monster interior line that should pretty much butcher our very average DTs.

If we can't pressure Brees much it should go without saying that he's going to kill us. As fun as it is to watch E. Brown windmill himself to the ground every play, I really REALLY hope someone steps up here or things will get ugly fast.

Late hits on Clausen. Williams is ok with a few flags here and there for questionable hits to rattle a QB. I fully expect someone to knock the poo out of Clausen, probably late, sometime early in the game.

best chance we have offensively is to open the floodgates and risk making a lot of mistakes by having a wide open game plan. being cautious and conservative isn't going to cut it. we have to go hard and fast and hit them right away and keep on hitting them.

speaking of hitting them, while i'm never an advocate of targeting certain players to hurt...we all know full well that gregg williams is. live by the sword...die by the sword. go after drew brees with everything and attack him the way williams tells his players to go after the other teams best player. take drew brees out.

this team is only going to win this game by being very aggressive in all areas. they have to play pissed off and make the other team pay. what makes this even more important is that the saints lost at home last week. we are walking into a hornets nest. this is no time to play it safe or nice.

In order for us to have a chance to win, our run is going to have to be very effective, we need to feed our backs early, and often. D-Will needs more than 10 carries, more like 20.

We cant allow ourselves to get one dimensional, Saints secondary is pretty strong, and they are very good at disguising what they are doing, Porter and Vilma always seem to find a way to get involved in a play, whether it be a INT or making big stops in the running game.

It will be interesting to see how our young secondary does against a potent passing attack. Godfrey had a pretty solid game in my opinion against the Bengals, but Palmer was rather erratic, I expect Brees to be sharp and looking to get back to winning.

We gotta get back to Carolina Panthers football, RUN the ball and play solid defense!

Otah will not be in game shape. I don't want him out there this week. Then again, the Saints suck at stopping the run so it may break even if he could go. Keep Brees off the field. Jimmy will have to hit his 3rd down passes to keep drives alive. Rosario, King, Gettis, and LaFell all need to be ready. And man we better protect Jimmy. Greg Williams likes to hurt QBs, and our O-Line couldn't stop a tumbling toddler right now.

you said we can't allow ourselves to get one dimensional but then you want us to focus on the run.

just thought that was interesting. we want to have a more balanced offense as long as we run run run.

at some point we need to be tossing that ball around quite a bit. the only way to get better at it is to do it.

The formula for beating the Saints:

Run the ball

Get the ball to the TE

Go for it on 4th down

They can't cover the TE, they can't stop the run and this keeps Brees (and their struggling Offense) on the sidelines.

why would you want to keep a 'struggling' offense on the sidelines?

Well, I meant getting one dimensional passing all the time. Thats our weakness, and if a team forces you to be one dimensional in your weakness, they have won the game.

I dont want to do nothing but run, but running "should" be our strength, we have the pieces in place for it to be. If the running game is working, stick with it, opens up the passing game for Clausen with play action.

My point was mainly that D-Will, arguably our best playmaker needs to carry the ball more than 10 times.
