Dead horse, but we need V-Jax

The season, and the hope of the fans and some of the players, is fast going south. For me. now, this year is all about keeping some sense of hope for the future of the franchise before the window of success completely shuts upon our talent and potential. I really feel bad for guys like Smitty, D-Will, and faithful fans who have supported the Panthers since before they ever took the field. I don't want to completely degrade into the likes of the Lions, and I never thought that that would even be a possibility for the Panthers.

Many have alluded to the fact that Jerry Richardson is concerned with the business of the NFL to the detriment of the Panthers (which, on the surface seems like its nonsensical), but with the recent purging of vets---and the refusal to sign others---I am beginning to become a little cynical, myself. about Richardson.

I realize that there are many problems with our team right now. and that there are no easy fixes for all of the Panthers' ill, but one thing that could be easily fixed is to put a legitimate threat opposite Steve Smith. Vincent Jackson would not oly provide that threat, but it would be a good-faith effort to show that Richardson still gives some credence to the desires of the fans. and is willing to make logical moves with his pocketbook in order to improve his product on the field (especially with pending blackouts a real possibility, as well as a general malaise by the fans of the FO's on making).

Like I said. I know its like beating a dead horse, but I still believe it needs to be said.

They won't budge on their demands for a 2nd and 3rd and we don't have a 2nd and theres no way we are trading our 1st so it would never happen. The guys to go after were Boldin and Marshall who both had reasonable price tags and we didn't show a bit of interest so we won't go after Jackson even though we should if they make the price reasonable.
