John Fox's greatest decisions

Matt Foley

Actually, Fox's loyalty to his players and his tendency to encourage them no matter the situation is one of the things that has made him successful. Most of his players over the years have loved him. When you love your coach you will play a lot harder for them than for some dick who freaks out everytime you make a mistake. These are professional athletes, they don't need someone yelling at them to let them know that they shouldn't fumble the ball.

Yes, they do need yelling. They definitely DON'T need a coach clapping to himself after a fumble. This team hasn't had heart in a lot of years, so the idea of playing hard for Fox is LOL. Maybe 5 years ago you had a case.

Sure, the team isn't playing hard for him now because 1. Fox is a lameduck coach and 2. JR has shown no interest in winning this year. But please try to tell someone, with a straight face, that Beason and Smith have no heart.

Times are truly bleak when this board starts singing Dan Henning's praises.

Henning was poo here

well maybe not Henning himself but the tandem of Henning/Fox running the offense, it's just a bad combination.

being in Miami you have to consider Sparano's influencing him to open the playbook a bit

Right, much like they don't need to be told to stay away from the club with their guns. Or not to sexually harass reporters or college girls. Or not to drink and drive after numerous offenses. Or....no wait yes they do need some direction and or yelling if need be.
