Appreciation For Jake Delhomme

I realize you sh*theads think might that Jake might be the next Dilfer.

But some of us want to be in a better position to win and have a good QB. Albeit it doesn't always guarantee you a win, but it sure as hell helps.

OK, who is the realistic acquisition at QB that could be accomplished before next season factoring in the Peppers/Gross/Lucas situation? It's real easy to bitch, moan and complain about something like this but the reality here is that we have a good QB with proven leadership qualities who the team believes in. And he is not breaking the bank. Any fan wants to be in a better position to win and we have a GOOD QB. Thanks for your suggestion, sh*thead.

Guess what? The Pats don't have the league's best QB right now because he is on IR and they are 8-5 tied for the lead in their division and are otherwise decimated by injuries as well. Do you think that their record is because Cassel is an ELITE QB? No it is because they have the best HC in the NFL and they know how to get everything out of their players and how to use them. In other words, they know that to win you have to build a great TEAM. The Panthers with Brady last year or 2006 MIGHT have made the playoffs (bearing in mind that both those years Jake missed time and the team was a combined 9-7 when Jake was there and 6-10 without Jake and he was the main injury in both those years) but those TEAMS weren't very good and no way could even the biggest homer think they would they have won the Lombardi even with Brady there.
