Nobody ever intentionally throws a season.

BUT!

There has been a complacency around the organization (lack of interest in building) because of the money issue and therefore Fox knew he didn't have a team that could go to the playoffs. He knew that he would be playing a rookie QB at some point in the season because he never liked Matt Moore. He ALSO knows that if he gets canned he will have, at the very least, a defensive coordinator position waiting for him somewhere.

So, while it isn't INTENTIONAL I definitely think that there is an "it is what it is" mentality (for lack of a better description) and he knows that this team isn't going to get much better this season.

This is absurd. No coach would intentionally try to lose. Have you even noticed fox on the sideline? He seems to get very emotional and fired up. Its a rebuilding year. This is what happens. You lose alot of games. Then you get better the next year.

I read quite a few very good post to this thread and the ones that makes the most sense to me are the ones that shadow my intentional title. No, I do not believe that Fox is throwing the season, but I do believe... that he is throwing the season..... Fox is a better coach than we see right now and our players are better than there results. Yes we lost Peppers, which I believe was our biggest lost but we have speed that can overcome that lost with the right game plan. I see our gameplan changing near the end of the seson to win a few then we'll start over next season with a new coaching staff. The question is will we keep Meeks as DC intentionally?

Fox is still a professional. Acting like a whiney little child is not a good way to attract your next suitor. He's just not a very good coach.

Without all the cliche's the problem with what might be the obvious conspiracy planted in this thread, is that were I wanting to peez on JR, I'd leave him with a season so friggin' good he'll cry whilst I am gone...season 2011 or no season! OTOH, if I come out as turd awful as I am, who's really gonna pay me the $55 million I want?

The "losing on purpose" makes little sense in either scenario...but maybe you have another idea.

This team having "too many rookies" crap kinda gets me too...was Stewart a rookie? Missed opportunities Capt.? Gambel? Marshall? ..dare I add the "Pro Bowler" gone stupid, Jordan Gross...or might I say FS at just the optimum time in almost every game?

How much more can this team take of Fox-style coaching? 12 more times most likely...ugh!
