again, aside from this year, where do you people get the idea that they are adverse to spending money.

he likely won't waste money throwing it all at someone like cowher who will be demanding much more money than he is worth. the team doesn't need some old school coach doing the same thing that has been done for years here, just with some guy with a big chin who yells a lot and has a 3-4 defense. the philosophy is the same and it's not in keeping with the changing times.

I don't get all the hype with Cowher. If Cowher was so good, why does Pittsburgh continue to win, even without him?

They win because of Kevin Colbert!!! Colbert, their Director of Football Operations, is the true genius behind the team. He joined Pittsburgh in 2000 and help build the team they have now by bringing in the right pieces. That is why Pittsburgh continues to win! If Colbert doesn't come to Carolina, I could care less about Cowher. Sorry...

The Detroit Lions haven't had a winning season since Colbert left, and Pittsburgh with or without their star QB continues to win, because the system Colbert has put in place is 100% genius!!! The guy is that damn good and you can't look past him, when evaluating Cowher.
