Anyone that can and does go to every home game is a great fan. Nothing I've said is directed towards them. Nothing I've said is directed to those who can't afford to go and watch from home. My complaint is everyone that has lived here all their lives and pull for another team because "I've always pulled for ________." If they fill that blank with "The Cowboys" I have a special disdain for them.

And for anyone wanting to donate a seat.... I prefer nose bleed seats because you can see the whole play develop.

Well, my dad likes the Panthers, but he's loved his Cowboys since he was younger. I mean, its just how it is. Us in the generation-Y crowd grew up Panthers fans for the most part. It will take ANOTHER generation before the city (or even the state, for that matter) to 100% be behind the Panthers. If you moved to Atlanta today and stayed there, had kids there, raised your kids as Panther fans there, people would probably say something similar about them. It's all in what you know from a young age.

No I wasn't at the game today. Wish I was. I've enjoyed several in the rain. I've sat through one in what I consider cool. Around 45 degrees. I actually prefer those games. Football in the mud and cold is better than football in 85 degrees and sunshine. I'd like to go to one in the snow. Charlotte just don't get that anymore. I've never come back able to talk.

It bothers me a bit too, but I was one who left with 2:00 to go yesterday. I listen to talk radio around the country, and have heard people gripe about fans leaving early in Philly, Pittsburgh, NY- you name it. I have been to many many games where the crowd was awesome, but eventually the lackluster effort and performance on the field sucked the life out of the crowd.

Now if you want to argue that the crowd should energize the team, not the other way around, you may have a point, but that is rare anywhere.

I agree with some of the above posts...I can't support a team that wasn't designed to win. We signed almost NO free agents, drafted for rebuilding (top pick on QB usually means that), and cut all the remaining veterans. Fox is basically just chillin' until next year when he can start over somewhere else and just throwing sh!t onto the field and seeing what sticks. We might put together another late run like Fox teams tend to do.

For now, I'm not going to pay a cent to watch this team - and it goes back to what the organization wanted to do. Put a cheap youthful team on the field and be ready for the next coaching staff. This is a dark year in our history, but hopefully the youthful players can progress into talented veterans.

The Panthers have only been around a short time man...it takes awhile to break ties for the people who were here before they came around. And as far as the other team's fan base being so large at BoA...my only reasoning is it must really suck to live up north so that's why everyone moves here...haha..

I left yesterday after the last kneel down and had to endure all the "who deys" on the way out...it always makes having a winning team feel so much more satisfying to endure harsher times..

The immediate Charlotte metro may be a transient city now days. Its been many moons since I lived there so I'll admit to being out of touch with that area. But for the most part people in the Carolina's are natives. Maybe I expect too much. I just don't want my team to go the way of so many others and find sanctuary in another town. Don't think it can't happen.

Another fan base thread  Yeah for the most part 1/2 the fan base is lame. They only show up when the team is super good and its a big game, besides that they sell or give their tixs away and alot of times the stadium feels like a road game because the place is filled with the opposing teams fans. They leave early, even when its a close game and sit the entire time when they do show up.

The other 1/2 of the Panther fan base is great. We are there rain or shine, good or bad, no matter what. Stand, cheer, and stay the whole time, etc. I think over time the fan base will improve. There is an entire younger generation growing up die hard Panther fans. I see them all around me at the stadium every Sunday. My kids included.

I hate it also when the stadium is full of other teams fans, 1/2 empty, etc. It is going to take awhile for that to change unfortunately.

Was there a good deal of booing in the 2nd half today? I thought maybe I was hearing things, but I thought I heard it a lot. I know it happens when things like Jake's Arizona game happen, but today wasn't even close to that.

DIdn't hear any boos yesterday. With Moore they expected him to play well and he didn't. With Clausen I think folks didn't expect much so when he didn't deliver it was much of a surprise. If we keep playing this poorly, it will be to an empty stadium when it turns cold in December.
