Is your opinion of Mr. Richardson starting to change?

I don't think Ive ever seen a group of people turn on someone like this place has turned on JR.

"He should have died"?!?! WTF is wrong with you?

some of you people seriously need to reevaluate your priorities...

The amount of sheer stupidity in this thread is sad.

Wishing someone dead because they don't run a football team the way they think you ought to? Wow. What a complete waste of a human being.

I'm still a Jerry fan but too say it's not a dick move to put a bad product on the field but raise ticket prices on your fans in a down economy is stupid too.

I can see fans being pissed it is a pretty shitty move by Jerry. If you were going too make these move because the CBA you could have cut some cost on your fans.

I'm still thinking he's going to sell the team. San Antonio Panthers anyone?

78 straight sell outs and we rank pretty high in merchandise sales. I guess it could happen, but the Panthers are a pretty damn successful expansion franchise. We blow the Jaguars out of the water. I'm not sure who is a part of JR's ownership group. Maybe even the sons buy out Jerry's portion when that time comes.

This thread has proven what I had suspected about the Huddle, and I feel sad I was right. The crude nature of this thread proves to me that most of the lame posters here have no f**kin' balls, are prolly in need of an acne treatment and show no class or sense of truth. Calling for a man's death, pain and suffering is beyond anything short of what this country has become...the amount of vile statments here would not be taken on the field to a player or a team executive...but you lame f**kers have the guts to spit this poo out on the site thinking people are as brain dead as yourselves.

Well, I take offense Zod, your site has shown rudeness is not an exception but a mind-set.

I challenged one person to show up at the field and bring any player who you can get, or any group of fans to BOA and walk up to JR and spout thi poo...but you saw the response or lack there of.

I would not sanction this poo anywhere and the fact you all let it drag on, but birch about a lame discussion about a logo is evidence of what crap shows up here.

You "death wishers" call yourselves Panther fans and call for the death or suffering of its owner are so f**king inane, I'll just say you likely belong to a sad group of trolls. Forword this thread to say Steve Smith, Beason or Brayton...see what THEY think of your poo!

Alverez...you can sponsor that tailgate on your own! Sorry but I am better than this.

I kind of doubt that Someone with class would know a little more about integrity.

If your feelings have changed towards the huddle, that's fine. A great many people who I respect no longer post here because the tone has changed, and that's their decision. But I can't think of one who has reneged on a commitment and then sought to blame the community for his or her poor behavior. I'm not the best person around, but even I know that if I had agreed to sponsor a tailgate, I would do it even if my feelings had changed. At the very least you could have tried to recruit a replacement, but that action is reserved for those who deserve the mantle you claim.

You can throw stones at the board all day long. But you're not an honest person. And when you state that you're better than anyone, you might want to consider how you look when your actions scream that you're not.

When the man fired his kids last year I knew something was brewing and he is not the typical gentle kinda guy everyone perceives him to be.... It seems like this year he has set up his team for failure as he has cut all the weight he could and has not invested a cent in trying to lock up his core players. I am starting to think he is more about NFL business then Carolina Panther business

No, I have a tremendous respect for JR. I've met him in person and found him to be genuine and nice. He's worked his ass off to get where he is, and has become one of the most trusted owners in the league because he deserves it.

Has it ever occurred to you how hard it must have been for him to fire his kids? He wants a winner, and has taken some pretty difficult steps to try and field one.

He's not mailing the season in, he's trying to position the team for the future. One of the byproducts of a young roster is a cheaper salary cap, and people are using that to bash him as if he's suddenly turned into an owner who cares about nothing more that money. But the facts don't bear that out.

Right now we're in the middle of the pack because of what we've committed to people we released. That's right, we're paying out money that would have actually been worth something had we not released so many players. The cheap thing to do would have been to keep a few of them and wring the last bit of value out that we could.

Instead, we are developing talent. We're the youngest roster in the league, and management thought that the talent was there to win games anyway. Well, the talent is there but the experience is not. It will be though, and when it emerges it will be there because of actions taken this year.

BTW, next year we have to sign Davis, Kalil, Williams, Marshall, and someone else that I don't feel like looking up. And I believe we will, and when we do the talk about trying to save money will dry up.

You guys who think that JR has changed or is some sort of greedy rich guy are either new to the party or weren't paying attention in the 90s. And you couldn't be more wrong about him.

Good post, although I think they may let Marshall walk. King, C. Johnson, Anderson, maybe J. Williams, plus the names you mentioned are potential UFA's who should be ranked higher on the retention list.
