Why don't you add in that in ALL of those rookie starts it was on clear pretty days with no rain and a wet ball?

I'm no way comparing Jimmy Clausen to Peyton Manning, but you can't judge a career by the first game.

We could probably go back through the ages and count on one hand the number of times a rookie QB has come out in their first start and looked like a super star. Hence why I just went back to '08. No need to go overboard in proving that average is average.

Our rookie fits right in with past rookies. The key is progress.
