I thought Clausen looked good...

I am waiting for the dunce who thinks Clausen played poorly to come in here and say "BUT HIS THROWS WEREN'T THE PRETTYFUL!!!!111!11!!!"

I like Clausen's 2nd half. Hopefully, with another week to prepare for another opponent, he can play a full game like he played the second half.

Also, that damn glove reminded me of Carr the whole game. God I hate that glove.

Warner played and won with a glove. So did McMahon and flutie etal. Just sayin....

It is just a sad commentary on the season so far that we are encouraged when a rookie quarterback actually leads us on a touchdown drive in the third quarter and we are only down 3 points. Honestly Clausen didn't do much today and frankly if you expected that he would, you were deluding yourself.

We are clearly a long way away from actually having a team and offense that can take over a game and dominate like it did at the end of last year. And really the quarterback is only one position of many that is a concern at this point. It certainly isn't Clausen's fault that we are wanting him in the game because he is more elusive in the pocket. If the O-line were worth a crap, the quarterback would have time to actually sit back there and find a receiver. And we might actually run a play that the defense didn't appear to be in the huddle already since they knew what we were doing.

Clausen needs time to see if he is improving and learning from one game to the next. At this point we don't know what his ceiling or floor is. We only know that our team is pretty bad on both sides of the ball. That is what happens when you make as many changes as we did in the offseason.

Hard to blame Jimmy, every time he'd reach down under Kalil's a$$ he was grabbing wet balls, there could be some problems there. Of course, I'm sure Kalil wasn't too thrilled with Jimmy pulling out early.

Sorry, couldn't resist. It's my substitute for bitching.

He should be back, Im still waiting to watch the game, I live in CT so it wasnt broadcasted... Im going to watch it on NFL rewind, but they dont allow me to watch it while other NFL games are being broadcasted... God, the NFL is so stringent with everything, quite annoying.

But what from Ive heard he looked solid, and for a first game against a solid D thats a step in the right direction... No reason to bring in moore, no playoffs this season anyway, might as well get your future QB some experience...

Moore is just a "progress-stopper" in the grand scheme of things

If you haven't seen it yet, tone down the expectations from solid to more like he sucked pretty bad in the first half but came in on the first drive in the third quarter and with a little help scored a TD. He also threw a deep pass late in junk time and otherwise couldn't sustain a drive. But then again the whole team looked pretty poor so it wasn't as if Clausen looked any worse than the rest. Check out Godfrey though. He was pretty solid.

He had basically the same stats as Carson Palmer. Our playcalling was horrible. The OLine was horrible. WRs didn't help the cause much. Wasn't a great game for Clausen but it's about what I expected given that it's his first game as a rookie and how bad everyone else has decided to play thus far.

We are young and are going to experience growing pains, but enjoy watching a team grow in front of our eyes. In a year or two, it will be worth this year to get better and get younger to be better longer. It's a shame if you had high expectations this year after what happened or didnt happen this offseason.

We should be greatful we have a coach that was given bascially no chance to win but to keep this young team motivated and playing hard. We can hate or disagree with how we think the team is being ran, but he is taking this one on the chin himself. I don't see him taking out Clausen and I think before the season is done, we will look like a good team. Just going to take time for our offense to gel, we need some consistency starting up front.

We will have a new regime here next year and they will have a great base to start with, and I think our job will be a good commodity and we could probably get what ever coach we want and they will love to work with Clausen who definitely looks like an NFL Qb.

Clausen and Moore are both pathetic.

Clausen hardly did anything except stand there and get hit for a fifteen yard penalty.

Had the same system as at Notre Dame.

Has had a professional QB coach since the 7th grade, and this is his game.

I agree, he will play better, not many QB's could play worse.
