And I have always given him the benefit of doubt and said we would be losing a good coach.

But if he doesn't back Jimmy 100%, he should be gone.

Jimmy played well in the second half, once he settled in. Most of his miscues (incomplete passes c/qb exchange) will only get better with increased time with the 1st team and as chemistry builds. I am very excited with how he played, esp 2nd half.

I think he did a good job, considering some of the play calling...looks like we've actually got ourselves a QB.

Once he settled down he looked like a very promising rookie. The mistakes he made were either from lack of experience or are easily fixable. Don't bench him now an ruin his confidence. We are no where near a playoff team this season, leave him in, get a top 5 pick, kick tail next season with an experienced Clausen. The end.

While A.J. Green would be a no brainer pick up i doubt we get him, i see us getting an all-pro defensive tackle. we could use upgrades at the DT spot, WR, Tight End (imagine if WE had Gresham), O-Line Guard, and finally cornerback since it looks like marshal is gone and if we get an injury in the secondary we are SCREWED.

I wish we had our 2nd round pick so we could get kyle Rudolph more than likely with it and use the 1st rounder on A.J. Green. Get whoever is the best CB in free agency, and draft O Guard in the 3rd round. Finally, get two big DT's in free agency. Super Bowl team bitches.

FACT: Jimmy had two expectations coming in today. To paraphrase Fox, provide a spark and jump start our offense, do better with this same team than Matt.

FACT: He failed at both of those things. Our WORST passing performance yet. NO PASSING TOUCHDOWNS! Jimmy had 0 Touchdowns and 1 interception.

Ultimately isn't that the point?

First post, been lurking for awhile, just wanted to say that I agree with this assessment. Clausen will only get better with more experience, the kid has a lot of potential...
