is Jeff Otah really this important?

We were running pretty much every down and that got us behind multiple scores. That's when we turned to passing it. We have more passes because we actually got 1st downs throwing the balls whereas running just got us a 3 and out every time.

hopefully this changes with otah, god knows fox and davidson are not capable of having a good gameplan.

We need Otah back at 100% and a whole lot more from the o-line if we wanna' score some points. D-will's average might be around 5 or whatever, but a lot of the dominant runs we saw last year and in 2008 are too few this year. There's just gotta' be more holes and push for d-will and j-stew to run through if we want the running game we've had in the past.

Yes.

Yes he is.

It's unbelievable, but I have never seen one offensive line player mean so much to one team.

Geoff Schwartz is awful.

With Otah back, the run game will take a huge boost, which will in turn help the passing game.

Otah, if your reading this, PLEASE come back.

We need you!

Im not disagreeing with you, im just asking is otah gonna turn that around so we can run like last year, or are we still gonna play like we are now.

Might run a little better.... but I still think they same. You can add him the the line but the defense will still stack the box 8 people to stop the run. D-Will, Stewart and Goodson can break a lot of tackles but no the entire game. Which means it will all be put on Clausen and the receivers. If they can get open and make the defense respect the passing game then yes the running game will IMPROVE greatly.

Otah is not magic. Sacks have been coming from all angles, not just his side. Runs have failed in all spots, not just his. Not to mention he'll need a good 2-3 games to get back into playing shape. Sure, we may see ONE less sack a game and ONE nice run bu our backs when he's in there, but he won't make that big a difference.
