At the half: Bengals 10, Panthers 0

It was hard to get a feel for the Panthers offense in the second quarter, primarily since they were barely on the field.

The Panthers had a grand total of three offensive snaps prior to the 1:04 mark, and that drive began at their own 2-yard line.

Two Jonathan Stewart runs and a Jimmy Clausen scramble later, the Panthers punted it away.

The Bengals aren't dominating by any stretch of the imagination, but they're running efficiently enough to control the clock.

A pair of fourth-down conversions by FB Brian Leonard (one on a fake punt) helped them grind away at the Panthers.

There was a 33-yard field goal by Mike Nugent that gave them their only points of the quarter, but it's not like the Bengals look like world-beaters here.

That led to a spirted three-play sequence that included Mike Goodson dropping a pass, Clausen being sacked and then a weird fumble on a draw play.

The Panthers are setting offensive football back decades.
