Panthers look to grow young offense

The Panthers aren’t looking for a temporary solution in the passing game — they want a long-term solution.

They want to draft and develop their own receivers — to develop alongside a young quarterback — even if that means being patient and waiting for them to do so. That’s why they spent three draft picks on rookie wide receivers this past April, taking Brandon LaFell and Armanti Edwards in the third round and David Gettis in the sixth.

“If you look at every big-name receiver you’ve mentioned, where has his greatest production come? It has come with the team that drafted him,” general manager Marty Hurney said, answering his own question.

Soooooooooo... why did they bring Moose back a couple years ago? How come Keyshawn was signed? What was DJ Hackett doing on the roster? Why was Ricky Proehl brought here?

A 'tard by any other name is still a 'tard...

i think it's called changing your mind and their probably allowed to do it once in a while. if we didn't we'd be stuck with deshaun foster running the ball while jake kept trying to throw it to colbert.

re...build...ing

the point im making is that their was no need to rebuild. the raiders...the browns...seattle...49ers...rams...redskins...lions. these are bottom of the barrel teams 2 years ago. you honestly believe we were in the same category before those cuts? We had players and a scheme...we just needed a qb and legit wr.
