Perhaps the front office saw the Peppers situation coming

I've been pondering this for a while now - maybe the Panthers knew Pep wanted out years ago (at least after the 2007 season). Knowing his contract was up and what the compensation would be if they traded him, when Otah was available they pulled the trigger with the knowledge that they would be trading back into the first round this year by dealing him this offseason. Puts a slightly different meaning to the, "We're all in" comment if this was the case.

Rumor has it that a Panther player is going to be named in the hush.com prostitution probe. So far our local Benz dealer has been charged, that was no surprise as he fit the old school Charlotte "above the law and above going broke" good old boy network, and it couldn't keep him off the hook. Now word is going around that before the Super Bowl, a Panther player is going to be charged. Going to be interesting soon. One name that keeps coming up is JP.
