Injury report; Punter workout

A fairly clean Friday injury report for the Panthers going into Sunday's game with Cincinnati.

RT Jeff Otah (knee) is listed as doubtful, but he's not ready to play yet, so the designation doesn't matter. From his pace of recovery, anything before the bye week would seem to be a bonus.

DE Charles Johnson (calf) is listed as questionable. He was limited Friday.

Otherwise, all the other names on the report are probable: WRs Steve Smith (thigh) and Brandon LaFell (hamstring), DE Tyler Brayton (ankle), DT Louis Leonard (elbow), TE Gary Barnidge (ribs) and LB Jordan Senn (ankle).

-- The Panthers brought P Glenn Pakulak for a workout Friday, primarily to give their returners a chance to look at another lefty. Bengals P Kevin Huber is left-footed, and his punts have a distinctly different spin than a righty.

They actually do this quite often, as P Jeremy Kapinos was here was week to prepare them for Bucs punter Chris Bryan, also a southpaw.

This was a return engagement for Pakulak, who was here last October to get them ready for Arizona's Ben Graham.

Pakulak has been with 10 different NFL teams, and works out often whenever teams face a lefty.
