What they should have done is try trading Sutton for a decent WR. I wouldn't trade Stewart for anyone of them either. I believe 2 very good running backs, is crucial to this team.

Way to put words in my mouth. I don't think Jackson or Bryant would be more valuable to the team than he is. I do however think an elite qb would.

yeah, DeSean Jackson, hands down. but they already have McCoy up there. and New England does sound like the best option if you're going after draft picks.

i'm not saying trade DW for Moss, but has anybody thought about a Steve Smith/Randy Moss tag team here in Carolina? he's already said he won't be in New England next season. so he'd be had on the FA market. Moss still has somethin left in him...

Of course you would have to make that trade (either one).. The Panthers will not have DWill after next season anyway, and they would love to get a 1st round pick for DWill. We would take a WR with the 1st round pick anyway, and Dez Bryant is almost as good as a AJ Green or Julio Jones.

If we let him walk without trying to sign him or franchise him, then as you say we definitely should have traded for someone. At this point I don't know if Bryant would be my choice. I wish I could see into the crystal ball and know who the next coach will be. If we are going to still run the ball all the time then Williams is valuable and wide receivers aren't given we have LaFell, Edwards and Gettis to develop.

Jackson being already developed would be a no brainer since we will be replacing Smith in a year or two already.

No, use our pick(s) next year (if there is one) and get a WR or get one in FA. Why would you trade one of your best players?

You would also have to fire whoever was responsible for this years atrocious selections of WR's and hire someone that can actually evaluate WR's.

Only way I would trade D-will is for two 1st's and that's not going to happen.

D-will is a franchise player, you try to keep them at all costs. Sometimes you can't ie. Peppers but you at least try.

yea, i'd be thrilled to have moss as a FA. Been talking about it for a while. If we had a deep threat, even if he never got the ball we could pull the top of defenses and get the ball to smith underneath.
