Ryan Mathews' WoW Character is a (max) level 80 female undead assassination rogue that does not mess around. Having played a rogue myself for three years, my heart went all kerfluffle when I saw he played one too. Rogues are the melee damage dealers in the group. They get up close and personal to bring the pain. His equipment shows he plays the highest level dungeons on the most difficult setting and spends serious time playing PvP. This is not a causal pastime for him (I was really suprised by this)! What does this mean? Well for one, he's much less likely to be scuffling with internet skanks or getting busted for DUI. This is because he's far more likely to spend his friday nights at home grinding for raid consumables or chasing that next achievement. On the other hand, there is a slight cause for concern about how he manages his time when he's off the clock. I'd be quite interested to find out if being a professional has cut into his gaming time. I need to get with John to see how impossible a WoW themed interview would be to obtain.

Oh, and a macho guy playing a chick character isn't a big deal in MMO circles....everyone does it. The prevailing attitude is "if I'm going to stare at a computer animated ass for 20-30 hours a week, it might as well be a female ass."

certainly puts my level 70 Tauren Female Mooquisha to shame :(

He probably bought it pre leveled and geared.

Who has that much time.

nah, on another messageboard they checked out his guild history. he'd been involved for a while, then was kicked out right after training camp started.

i doubt he'd have bought a character then continued to play it at the level a high end raiding guild would require.

Well looks he is on the shelf for this weekend, lots of time now to try and get the Val'anyr Hammer of Ancient Kings.
