NFL.com's Chad Reuter's 4-round mock draft

All of these guys would contribute--except maybe Belton.  I would take the OT from BC Trapilo (if on the board in the third--a natural pass blocking RT)

As much as I like the kid, I do not see Walker as a smart option as an edge.  However, with Pearce and Green having a history of issues, I wonder what options we will have--really want to trade back.

Having said that, I see why people would like this draft--but we can't have an all-South Carolina Edge starting crew and WR and three NC State Offensive lineman.  It is as if our scouts do not have a plane.

About a perfect draft IMO. I want Walker and like the upside of Higgins/another weapon. If XL doesn't improve, our WR group starts to look awful post-Thielen. You could argue going DL instead of Belton, but there's your Taylor Moton understudy and replacement if all goes well. Like taking a chance at a Mukuba type guy in the secondary that can create some turnovers as well.

Carolina Hurricanes, 43-24-4 Last week: 5 Mirtle rank: 5 Dayal rank: 7 They rattled off five straight wins after the Mikko Rantanen firestorm of the deadline had the entire league’s attention focused on the Corsicanes, but it’s been a bit bumpier ride since. A lopsided loss to the Kings and a puzzling one against the Predators drop them a spot in our rankings, even though they’re still scoring and dominating possession, as always. Of note: Old man Taylor Hall has been heating up of late, with six goals and nine points in his last seven games. ESPN 5. Carolina Hurricanes Previous ranking: 3 Points percentage: 63.4% Strength of schedule: 48.6%, 21st. The Canes are rolling toward another playoff berth, and it's overwhelmingly likely they'll do so as the Metro Division's No. 2 seed. Next seven days: vs. MTL (March 28), vs. NYI (March 30), vs. WSH (April 2) TheHockeyNews 4. Carolina Hurricanes (43-24-4, +37. Previous: 3) Impressive wins against the Jets and Tampa Bay Lightning by a combined 8-3 score were undone by losses to the Los Angeles Kings and Preds by a combined 10-3 score. There’s just always something about the Hurricanes that holds them back from being considered a serious Cup contender. BleacherReport 7. Carolina Hurricanes Previous Ranking: 3 Overall Record: 43-24-4 There are few places to go from an eight-game win streak other than down, and that's where the Hurricanes have gone recently with two losses in three games since the run of success from March 2-20. A Tuesday loss to visiting Nashville was the first home game for Carolina after a four-game Western trip on which it went 3-1-0. The team entered Wednesday tied for the league lead with 27 home wins.
