I have read no reports of him signing his contract.. Last I heard he said he'll never sign it because he wants to work for the Panthers for as long as JR wants him...

I hope some understand that Hurney is the "spokesperson" of the Panthers...it is how we are structured, and believe it or not, I do not like it either! Still, you can get Jones on the John Boy & Billy Show, but you won't get Kraft on Meet The Press...meaning JR is not a guy who goes on radio to "defend" anything about the Panthers and I still ask who can call him face to face on whatever he decides. Like Kraft he is business and worth more than some countries, and he keeps himself protected..don't like it? Move on he's not going to change.

Well at least you don't get "it is what it is" and "he gives us the best chance to win", he does at least have the balls to take questions from the fans, with Fox not a chance. I really can't defend JR but he has always been this way from the beginning and without him there would be no panthers and we would not be having this discussion.

No.. We are dealing with same issues of last year. Turnovers. Money has nothing to do with that. A WR would not of fixed our problems.

whether we're winning or losing it's a rebuilding year, we're basically rebuilding a new core of the team. in '08 with the falcons it was a rebuilding year, and they were winning. rebuilding has more to do with personnel change than just losing most of your games

Cutting alot of veterans and going with a youth movement is pretty much the definition of rebuilding so yeah, I don't know wtf he's talking about but then again he's giving the typical PC answers and not saying all that much.

Reading this thread, makes it very clear how lil the majority of fans know of Jerry Richardson.

Maybe I'm spoiled cause I've been always been a fan.

Fact is, Richardson has never been the type of owner that tries to run the football side of the franchise. He actually let's the guys he hired to do that, take care of that.

Seems like so many fans want to blame the owner so badly, that they just discredit anything that is said by Hurney, or coach Fox.

Richardson will never be a puppeteer like some owners in the league.
