There are no sure WR prospects out there that are worth a top ten pick so far. If we draft that high, it will probably be on defense.

And of course, that will go over really well around here... :)

nothing is 100% in the draft but AJ Green,Juilo Jones,J.Baldwin.?? these guys are not top ten picks to you?

i agree with you to a point, the play calling , oline are all issues and don't think clausen will come in and play all pro from day one. but their is no way the coaches can take the blame for jakes 18 int's or moore 's 3 in the redzone against the giants. here's somehting else to think about, maybe we call plays based on the ability of the qb playing

they assist in them. Defenses know run or pass. In addition to that they know a glaring amount of the actual plays. Factor in you have just one WR.....it sets the QBs up for failure and that is what they get.

If the Panthers continue to do what they did last Sunday, that stadium will be a ghost town.

Reality is players get played millions to play and we spend hundreds to thousands in a very tough economy to watch them.

Sunday, was an abysmal an effort as I have ever seen from a pro team save perhaps the Lions during the Millen years.

That team was totally flat from beginning to end, for their home opener.

It that is the youth movement, then, Hurney and JR can keep it, and they can refund some of my PSL money for having to watch it.

The Garner High School Trojans could have beaten the Panthers last weekend and been more entertaining doing it.

Much too early to tell but one of my hometown favorites, Dwayne Harris from ECU is doing a pretty great job. In 3 games he has 23 receptions, 294 yards and 4 TDs. He is also an outstanding returner averaging 25 yards a kickoff return. Right now he is projected as a mid-round draft pick but remember what happened to another ECU player- Chris Johnson.

2 things I have an issue with

his talk about him and Fox not having back to back winning seasons and they are working on it.... WTF were you doing up till now then? I don't know that just came off as stupid to me.

and this notion of Lefell becoming a #2 receiver. I am sorry but drafting a receiver whos main knock coming out of college was his hands is not OK with me, yes we value blocking WRs here higher then most other teams, but the main job description of a receiver is to catch the ball and IMO learning how to catch on a consistent basis is hard if you do not have it already in college. I do not agree with the Armanti pick, but at least put him out on the field at WR and let him learn it there.

I do however like what I saw out of Gettis, I think there is legit talent there and with the game reps he is getting and :: knocks on wood :: Clausen being able to deliver him the ball on a consistent basis he will be a bright spot as the season continues.

Dwayne Jarrett comment made me chuckle...

If he is one of our better receivers, why the hell is he riding the bench?

waiting for him to take that stupid spike out of his mouth. once he can remember to do that he's an instant HoFer.

or something like that.

not buying it. just cut the turd and be done with it.

Agreed that in September of 2010, there are no sure WR prospects, but I believe this WR class is one of the tops to come through in many years. Between Green, Baldwin, Floyd and Jones, I think there might be 2 top-10 guys out of this group. Again, it's early. Also, the way our secondary has played, I wouldn't be surprised to secure a Patrick Peterson or Prince Amukamara.

i'm thinking CB to replace marshall. not liking the early DT prospects so far.

i'll be fine with D on draft day, btw.

again i'm not saying our offense will morph into the saints or colts but moore rufused to goe thru his progressions on the few plays he had time and wouldn't throw to his checkdown which at the very least could gain some positive yards & continue to move the chains. we have no choice right now but to make the most of what we have & hope we find playmakers eventually

all I am saying, is regardless of QB....this coaching staff is putting QBs in bad scenarios. I am not saying Jake or Moore didn't make costly mistakes that don't fall directly on there own shoulders.....All I am saying regardless of QB, when you put a QB in as many bad scenarios as these coaches are doing the QBs are going to make those big mistakes.

2007-present day Fox has been horrific. A lot of stuff that should have fallen on Fox has been put on others. Those guys deserved to take heat....but not Fox's share.
