Speaking of which, the sports media carrying stories on Vicks dogs in 2010 is lame as hell and shows the lengths these media companies that are all ran and operated by people who dont look like him will go to villainize a black athlete for profit. Even after he's paid his debt to society and has set out to be a positive figure, the script still calls for the "black quarterback" to be the villain. And with how light we've seen the media go on superstar white athletes wrangled in legal issues, and how quickly they brush the news away, the sports media's cred is very low right now when it comes to "moral judgement".

Look, I was one of the biggest Vick haters on the board but not because of this dog stuff(even though I think its horrible), it was because of how he looked when he came back from prison. Now he is looking like more of a complete player and is staying out of trouble. Im glad for him and hope he does well except when he plays us.

vick starting is starting for some ofthe same reasons jimmy clausen is starting. neither team can protect a qb and when that happens, it's best to get a quicker more mobile qb.

of course the cons to this that everyone will ignore is that 90% of the plays will be drop offs to running backs and scrambles for 3 yards.

Kolb and Moore,imo, are better qbs at getting the ball down the field, but neither have the time to do it. It's the same reason at one point the cardinals felt lienart or Kurt Warner could be their qb. Once the oline stepped it up, the choice was obvious.

i think that Vick has desereved it. whatever you think about Vick personally, you have to admit that he looked good sunday, like he finally is a dual threat QB. i'm sure glad he could'nt throw the football when he was in atlanta.

I'm genuinely happy for him. What he did with the dogs was bad but I felt like the hoops and the scrutiny he had to go through was severely overplayed. I wish him the utmost success this year (unless it hurts the Panthers) and hope he signs with an AFC team next year.

On the other hand if I was Kevin Kolb I would be pissed to high heavens about the situation. The Eagles organization got rid of their franchise quarterback and arguably the face of their team JUST so they could make Kevin Kolb the starter. Really makes me think the Andy Reid has lost control of decision making in Philly.
