Dont Be Down. Pep Leaving Could Be Blessing In Disguise

I remember plenty of people including myself say we can go after this person and that person. But forget

We dont have a 1st round pick lol

Now we can get a first round pick and a ok to good player out the deal on D by trading him

Then after multiple cuts on multiple people we wasted our money on, we get good cap space

And then we can go after Nnamdi Asomugha :D

Lol Idc what yall say. If we have the money, make the move. We need stars on our D

The situation we're in. It would UNACCEPTABLE if we dont come back next year with a new look and changes

You can have the best secondary in the world but without pass rush it means nothing ask Denver.

What about Philly? A secondary with Aso, Gamble and Marshall with a D-Line consisting of Johnson, Brayton, Kemo and Lewis with our LB core is very comparable to what the Eagles are fielding this season if not better. However the key in that equation would be a new DC. Trgo isn't anywhere close to the talent they have in Jim Johnson.

Pep is 1st rounder + 2nd/3rd or multiple picks.

You dont get a 4 time probowler 4 anything else.

and you damn sure dont take anything less.

Multiple combos of a first and a 2nd or 3rd, etc, would really help us out to fill in some skill positions at least, especially ones on the defensive line.

There you go, trade him to Oakland for Nnamdi and a first rounder. Al Davis is crazy enough for that.

Not gonna happen

Oak definitely will think Aso is equal to Pep. So you can bet thats just a regular trade. They might give us a 2nd rounder

We can decided to trade our both 2nd rounders for a 1st rounder

Its A LOT of options

Thats why I'm saying if this team dont make some changes and right moves, it would be inexcusable. I'm not playing about not getting a big name if their available. Most people have a problem with Albert cause of the kicking situation so he would be considered a player we wouldn't risk on. But ASO is a good dude

    • He must be drinking from the same poison bottle those punk college kids were drinking from over the weekend. Too much of that junk going on and it needs to be shut down quickly and hard.
    • I think it probably had something to do with his career about to be over. He's always been surrounded by the best talent and with that comes some ease in doing your job. When everyone on your team is at least 2 or 3 star better recruits than 90% of the opposing team. In the NFL everyone is 5 star recruits. I think it was probably a wake up call that either he starts actually putting in the work, or he was going down as one of the biggest busts in NFL history.
    • He's made improvements from the worst QB in the league and as I've stated he looks confident and it's night and day compared to where he was. I am glad to see that. Still these honest conversations have to come down to discussing what is ultimately his ceiling in our offense and what it will require us to further invest in order to have him both meet that ceiling and remain there. If we had scooped him up as a UDFA or took a mid to late round flyer on him that would be one thing. But he is a first overall pick. We've made very significant investments around him already and it looks like we will add even more. At some point he has to ELEVATE the pieces around him instead of the pieces around doing the elevating. If not. We need to have a fallback plan in place.
