hoped an April trade to Oakland would help him revive a thus-far disappointing career. Sunday's performance, though, was a step in the wrong direction.

Campbell was benched at halftime of the ' game against St. Louis after an unsteady first half that saw Oakland's offense sputter to just three points. The 28-year-old Campbell hit 8 of 15 passes for 87 yards, but was pulled in favor of to start the third quarter. Gradkowski spearheaded three scoring drives, leading Oakland to a come-from-behind, 16-14 victory.

"I was surprised," Campbell said about being pulled, according to The Associated Press. "We were down 7-3. We had been moving the ball. We just stalled when we got to the red zone. But at the same time, it was a decision that they made. I've got to do what I've got to do and just live with it and just move forward."

It was a odd quote, something to do with a dislike for black athletes from Notre Dame but it wasn't Davis who said it, TB clarifies this in a later interview.
