Panthers do everything possible to avoid starting Dwayne Jarrett

the dude can be open all day but if he isn't where he is supposed to be then how are the QBs supposed to know where he is? if you throw to him and he's always going accidentally rogue then you're only supporting bad behavior.

talent means nothing if you haven't got a clue how to do your job.

Look if Jarrett does get some snaps with Clausen and he still isn't getting the ball who are we going to blame? Clausen? John Fox? Matt Moore? Jake Delhomme? or Dwayne Jarrett?

some people ill still blame anybody but jarrett. for the life of me i just can't understand why he even has a job?

i hope that he gets his act together and can perform big for us quickly but i really doubt that is going to happen. there is nothing i have seen that would lead me to believe that he really cares about putting everything on the field and even if he did that it would be worth much.

from his first season on all he has done is show that he's a bum and it's on him to prove that he isn't. when you have a coach that for whatever reason is being risky for the first time in years and he still isn't putting you in, there's got to be something wrong.

i'm not a fan of fox but i don't think the problem is with him.

how do you guys know that he isnt where he was supposed to be? maybe the qb threw it at the wrong spot?

it is hard enough for pros to evaluate wr, with tons of game film and actually watching him in practice, but it is funny to me all these experts on jarrett, who have access to a dvr saying that he sucks or cant get off the jam or is NEVER open. how do you get your dvr to focus only on one player??

jarrett can catch the ball. period. Agian for the 20000th time his own wr coach, the guy that works with him every day said that he doesnt need to be wide open to catch the ball. with his size and frame few dbs are going to out jump him. it makes no sense to me why we dont use him in that way. how can we use peppers for fades in the endzone and not dwayne jarrett??

i could understand the hate if he started games and we actually threw the ball to him and he dropped them or he got them knocked out of his hands every time, but that rarely happens to him. i would like to see them give him at least 10 targets a game and see what he can do with that. I mean we gave that to gettis? why not jarrett?

The only reason why he's even on the roster is because of how bad our WR corps is. That and he's a 2nd round pick so cutting him means the FO has to admit they screwed up royally by drafting him in the first place. It's easier to just keep him over an inconsistent no-name WR like Trent Guy or Kenny Moore and save face.

maybe because gettis does everything he's asked and goes where he's supposed to, lines up where he's supposed to and knows what he's doing while jarrett really doesn't?

is that too simple of an answer? if so, then just go on back to your conspiracy theories. lol

makes sense to me. still a wasted roster space unless he does anything.

even doing all that was gettis so much better than jarret that he deserved to start? what did he show that was that much better? you guys always throw up dj lack of touchdowns and catches to say he sucks. what are gettis stats to say he is so good?

also how do you know gettis is doing all those things correctly? even if he does being a wr is ultimately about catching the football. you could do all those other things perfect but if you have stone hands you will not be a wr for long.

you have never heard complaints about gettis. you have heard many about jarrett.

no one is saying that gettis is all that great. he got the start over jarrett. that says more about jarrett being bad than gettis being good.

also, no one was saying that you don't need good hands. jarrett has always had the tools to be a pretty good receiver in the league. it's just what is between his ears that is causing him the problems and keeping him off the field.

Gettis had 1 game, how many games has jarrett started and proved that he was worthy? Since dj obviously wasn't getting it done they have to see what they have with the other receivers.

Without looking hasn't he started 3 games? All wins?

Complaints by who? Fans? A smart ass comment from Smitty?
