If they never played these songs again I wouldn't mind one bit

I guess with 35 years of musical history and perspective between their debut album and your critique that all sounds about right.

In 1975 Boston was edgy and risky. Today they are rather cliche but to completely dismiss them shows a remarkable lack of respect for their place in the history of rock music.

How was Boston in any way "edgy"

Edgy? In 1975 you could say The Residents were edgy. Boston from the very beginning was over engineered to the point of having no distinctive musical elements other than Brad Delp's voice, and that's only because Tom Scholz didn't have access to auto tune software. As time went on, that only got worse.

if only they would make a little device that would allow you to store and play thousands of your own mp3's....we'd never have to listen to the radio or bad music ever again!

I haven't listened to the radio in years, other than Saturday night if I go downtown. KGSR has nothing but 50's blues and R & B. I crank that poo.
