When have we ever been that good? Even before Fox. Y'all have some high expectations from a franchise that doesn't seem to inspire to be great. I guess this is why we get these crybaby threads week after week, year after year. Until we have a new owner, this is all the Panthers will ever be...mediocre. You can accept that or be mad all the time.

Look how long it took the Saints to figure it out! If Payton has a winning season this year, he will have done in 5 years what Fox has not done in 9....win back to back seasons...

Which proves two common NFL arguments:

1- QB is more important than HC

2- Fans are fickle. Saints Est. 1967, 43 years, 7 playoff appearances, Panthers Est. 1995, 15 years, 4 playoff appearance....

Amazing what the salary cap did to the league huh? Before the salary cap, it was always the same teams that won. Nobody wanted to go to New Orleans as an FA. And if you were unlucky enough to get drafted...you got out once your contact was up.

I believe this also. And if its not Cowher there will be new HC here next season. The one thing I dont get and it has to be cause Jerry didnt want to pay a coach in a lock out year (should that happen) is why do you rebuild with a lame duck coach. That still has me baffled. But didnt Jerry tell Fox this offseason if there was a job out there he wanted, he would let him out of the last year of his contract??

I am just tired of the John Fox's brand of football. I think what this franchise needs is a new Head Coach, and Offensive and Defensive Coridinator. I do think all this mess is Fox's fault but he is a big part of it.
