I am getting that the day it comes out... I haven't play Civ since Civ II way back in the day, but I love it any I want to get back into it.

I'm looking forward to the new combat, it sounds awesome. It should require a lot more strategy than just using the stack of doom.

If I didn't have so much school work I would definitely be picking this up tomorrow. But I do and I won't...and this makes me a sad panda.

For some reason I just can't get into the turn based strategy games. I love playing RTS like StarCraft but when I played the last Civ game it just didn't do it for me.

So how is it?

Bought it yesterday and I played for a few hours. It's still as addictive as ever, but it's buggy right now. I haven't been able to declare war on China for over 200 years now after we had a 10 year peace treaty. I also had a problem playing with DX10...it kept freezing up and when I first loaded the game I had to keep alt-tabbing until the start screen would stay up. And the fog of war is a little fuged up in this game. You don't seem to have any line of sight in the open ocean. I'm sure they'll eventually fix all of this poo, but I'm disappointed with all the bugs.

To be honest I'm not sure I like the gameplay any more than Civ IV, which was my favorite Civ game. Right now I don't. It's not bad or anything...maybe after I play it a while (and they fix the bugs) I'll get used to it.

Terrible. Hated it
