Considering a new TV

Oh good grief man...if you've got a DLP...just dump that crap and get a nice 120hz LCD cheap for the time being and save a ton of money for when the next crop of improved 3d and LED tvs come out.

Other than the lamps and the darks aren't displayed well (especially when playing video games) it's been a nice TV. I looked at a few yesterday at best buy. The salesman was bad mouthing the Aquis and praising the Sony Samsung and LG models.

Don't buy from Best Buy...here's what I did. I shopped at Best Buy to find what I liked...and I really had it narrowed down to two brands, Sony and Samsung. I really liked the Samsung models. Sooo...I found the size and model that I liked. THEN I went to Amazon and found that you could buy Samsung models (no tax and free delivery) for cheap. I got what was a $1,500 model for $1,100 3 years ago (40" LCD/matte finish/midrange quality 550 or 650 series I think). No problems and still working today and I've had zero issues with it.

If I buy another...it will just be another Samsung but a bit larger. What I DO like in the newer models coming out are the internet integration functions such as Pandora. Knowing I could launch Pandora on my tv and start a radio stations and funnel THAT through my sound system is a huge plus for me. That's probably the only "newish" type of function I'd target in today's TV selections.
