the play that killed the panthers...

Another BS call was the RTP penalty called against Greg Hardy. He was moving past the defender who did a move (I won't call it a push as much as a juke maybe) that led Hardy right into Freeman. That one was also on 3rd which would have caused a long FG try instead of the touchdown they got afterwards.

Would have been nice to only lose 16-7.

There were ALOT of plays the killed the Panthers. I would add to the top of the list the 3rd and long when they D-line actually got some pressure, two guys missed Freeman while he scrabled to the right, then he tossed a bomb down the field to hit a wide open Winslow. That played followed by a pass up the middle, several missed tackles and a TD. Result 14-7 Bucs, and if I am not mistaken that drived was the one right after Smitty's TD.

I also think to the overthow to Gettis on the deep pass was a bigger blow to the Panthers than the Rosario one.

I can go on and on of all the plays that were killers yesterday. This team is just not good and we have a lame duck coach.

Yep that was a big blow by the defense. Honestly I thought those two blown plays were just as bad as Matt's interception, just not as obvious(I mean really I can't defend throwing into that red see just cause Smith was there)

But unfortunatelly for Matt, the right circumstances that would have allowed him to continue to be our starter just never took place. And to boot he ended up having bad days on the same days our team decided to have bad days. With Jimmy breathing down his neck, Fox's seat on fire, and the obvious push from the fans and media that they wanted that kid, it sealed the deal.

I could tell this would happen after the first game, right when after he threw those pics all the camermen had their cams pointed at the sideline at Clausen, followed by the shots of the famous face palm.

Fox never really gave Matt a fair chance, but at the same time, with this move he is giving this team and its fans a chance.

Too little, too late for Moore.

I agree. If Rosario hangs on to that ball Matt's a hero and permanent starter.

Matt's individual performance was really not as bad as the team's overall performance made me him look. But still, Clausen seemed to be able to do more with the team that we do have than Matt did.

This is the only possible reason I would let Matt play again this week. Because the difference between him looking terrible and good was pretty close. If Rosario makes that catch then the defense respects the pass and JStew runs in for a score. If Moore and Gettis connect on that pass then that's another TD.

If Smith doesn't drop that 13 ish yarder then we have a drive going. If Goodson doesn't get tripped up then we have a KR for a TD.

Going back to last week if Deangelo didn't get shoe string tackled then it's a different game.
