No he didn't. Fox made a desperate move in week 2.....and then confirmed after watching Jimmy 2 games that Moore was the best they had.

There is no Moore/DA comparison. It is about Cam.....DA wasn't brought in b/c he is better or worse than Moore.....he was brought in b/c he can sit in a meeting w/ the QBs and knows the offense.

Why was it a desprate move in week 2? Moore was lighting it up right? Right....and where is your link to the confirmation? I missed that one

Anyway, this is :beatdeadhorse5: Moore is gone, we have two Young QB's on the team that have a long way to go to be NFL QB's. We should stop being biased and support both of these guys. Regardless, they are both Panthers.

I'm now excited to watch the game Sunday. Clausen looks to be very poised as a rookie. Constantly scanning the field and seems to get rid of the ball opposed to throwing in triple coverage. HE WILL MAKE MISTAKES, so don't flip out when he does.

This isn't 1962; we have to get the ball downfield and he gives us a better option to do that.

Read comments about JC and watch the playcalling. The coaches were being rebellious. Clausen was not prepared, he was put in position to suck as Fox's parting shot at JR. Yes he sucked, but never before has a rookie starting qb been used like that. If people all want to focus on Clausen and blame him for everything, then they are just wrong. No rookie QB in the history of the league would have succeeded here in 2010. Does that mean JC is a solid NFL QB. No. It means nobody knows how good he can be, not Rivera, not Clausen, and especially not any of us. His skill set is not suited for this offense, so I see him moving on. Will he succeed elsewhere? Possibly. Until then, he is our backup and people need to support him.

Booing him at training camp is one of the most idiotic things I have ever heard. I suppose the cheap price of gas in SC and the deterioration of our public school system has contributed to the moron population being well represented in Spartanburg.

Clausen didn't fit the offense. That ain't Clausen's fault or Fox's. JR put them together and gave Fox no realistic option once Moore was done.

and again, a rookie who fit what Fox did would have had MUCH better results than Clausen. Saying no one could of had success simply isn't true with the talent on the roster.

I agree on the booing at camp. No point booing on people working to improve and that is what camp/practice is.

B/c the team bought into Moore being the QB heading into the season....that was the page everyone was on. He laid an egg week 1 and got a concussion week 1......and was then benched in a winnable game week 2 for a rookie who Fox saw wasn't cutting it in practice.

that is a desperate move and one that killed any shot we had putting some wins together.

Matt Moore couldn't get the offense in the end zone the entire preseason. Not once. He had a winning record as a starter prior to 2010 and was very healthy. When the regular season began, nothing changed. Clausen certainly didn't make the offense any better but when a rookie is handed the keys to an offense that can't score it's tough to buy into claims that otherwise winning talent was on the field.

Moore just played poorly...he wasn't doomed bc of the scenario. Reality is he was put in position to of easily won week 1 and week 2....he just failed to hit the throws....and they were there for him.

The Matt Moore defense just doesn't cut it....Moore played bad and after that Fox had no one.

Name a team that earned the #1 overall pick with the kind of talent Carolina had on the roster.....

Just sad, the Clausen/Pike and Fox combo killed that season.....and it is really hard to blame them fully.

Pike threw for 12 passes you know, 12... 12. Passes.

No way you can tell he killed the season. =D

Edit: I also mean whether he is good or bad, I believe he is good but he only threw for 12 passes.

...and I believe he is not good, because those 12 passes, and the ones he threw in preseason, were awful.

Having it on the roster and then having it on the field are two different things. Stop hatin man and pull it together.

Hurt running back(s) all season with a hurt and underperforming O Line. A vet WR that played the role of "big baby" with two rookies expected to pick up his slack. A QB carousel thanks to a Lame Duck coaching staff grasping at straws. A young D with no real experience and what experience we did have was moved to new positions or was hurt. A gutted roster in preparation for a lock out, etc etc.

Do you really NOT see why NO ONE would have been good on this team last year? REALLY?

And where is your mention of Moore? Shouldn't it be Moore/Clausen/Pike and Fox? Moore had more oppurtunities than anyone, he was give every preseason game and then started the season...can't believe you even mentioned Pike, he hardly saw the field lol
