Bad management I guess.

wouldn't surprise me... have always gotten pretty bad service there, although i've only ever been a couple of times

good food tho... charlotte will miss that place. was always at the top of peoples lists when you asked someone where to eat here.

Where did you see it/ hear it?

My wife is texting me saying the land owners won't renew the lease and are going to take it away from the guys who started it.

Last day is Oct. 24th

Can anyone confirm this? I mean, I trust my wife and all, I just don't want to believe it.

Yes, your wife is correct. They are in a dispute over how much they are paying for the lease. The guys who own the building apparently own the name the Penguin as well, so they can't take it with them.

They have already bought land down the street and are opening a new place called the Diamond that will be pretty much identical, just cant be called the Penguin.
