Food For Thought

As I haven't been around the Huddle very long, it wouldn't surprise me to have someone inform me in this thread that the topic has been discussed, but just in case...

Assuming the Panthers don't make some miraculous and improbably run to the Super Bowl, it is pretty much understood John Fox and his staff won't be around next season. Now surely we all have our ideas and thoughts of who JR would bring in to coach, but what about some changes to the team other than just coaching?

A new philosophy on offense and defense I am sure will be introduced which will throw a few positions into chaos (see Linebackers should we move to a 3-4 Defense). On offense, our zone running game could be in question...so what should we expect from the ground game? I'm fairly confident not much would change in that regard as any coach with a brain would see if it isn't broke, don't fix it.

As well as on the field changes would most certainly be made, how about a complete revamp of the attitude of the Panthers? I point towards uniforms. I love our uniforms, I see nothing wrong with leaving them as is...but just for the sake of trying something new in a time of change...why not throw a new wrinkle into the mix? It has been long discussed around the "interwebz" by fans all-around...how about black pants? Sort of go for an all-black uniform. That way when Al Davis sees the Panthers on Sportscenter he doesn't have a coronary.

Also as tough as it was to get Jerry Richardson to even so much as place team logos on the field on each side, what does one have to do to get the team logo at the 50? Sure we can continue to pay homage to the NFL as they truly have given this region a gift...but it is time for the Panthers to flex their feathers like a Peacock in some way or form.

Any other thoughts I may have missed? I'm quite sure I missed something.
