Pat Y nails it on head about Moore

Funny that he called matt Moore -David Carr. I think folks will see a better David Carr impression from Clausen than Moore. After all Clausen is the king of the dump passes and running at the first sign of pressure without looking down field.

With that said though, I think Clausen ought to get a shot. Lets see what he can do. Right now David Carr might be an upgrade to what Moore is doing.

And that my friends is truly sad!!

Considering the amount of game experience and film we have to go on re: Clausen, I think this is a completely rational post.

No personal dislike coming in to play whatsoever.

Fox knows Moore can't play and thats why he was slurpping all over Duhlomme to get him to play better (our best chance to win, he wasn't lying)....I wanted Moore in the game to see what he could do but have always been neutral on Moore. How can you have him on the team unless you have 100% confidence in his play, how can you be a respected coach and choose that kind of talent to play the most important position on the team. In Moores defense, Jesus couldn't quarterback behind that line....

Pat Y has a huge Moore bias.

Moore hasn't been Carr level bad. Moore also hasn't looked like the sole cause things aren't working well.

i don't think anyone is making him out to be except in the eyes of those few still on moore's bandwagon who haven't yet had their eyes opened about him.

QB play has been bad. decision making has been bad. sure he hasn't been given much to work with but we aren't going to get a whole new team. we have an at least just as capable QB sitting there who will be QB'ing this team in the future anyway, why not let him get in there and get his feet wet with who will be his team of the future?

i just see very little reason at this point to warrant keeping moore in there. i see no benefit to it all all in the long term or short term.

if there is one, please share.

TarPanther9180... I agree with you. When the defense is playing to make the QB beat you and he can't. The defense can pin the ears back and come after them. We need someone in there that can handle the pressure and get good throws. You look had Moore hit Rosario and Gettis on those two for sure TD's, we win.

Clausen is know for his accuracy. I think regardless, he is the future of this team might as well give him the reigns.

Go Panthers

so the general consensus is that Moore lost his confidence because of all the hits and overall lack of play from the o-line. But wouldn't Clausen starting yield the same results?

We would end up with both our quarterbacks having no confidence. Then what?

you look for somebody else to play QB. listen those who think you'll damage clausen by playing him, it's a 50/50 proposition that he will either pull an aiken(mentally tough enough to get past his early struggles) or carr(no explanation needed)
