I just pwned Jimmy Clausen.

My reaction wasn't so bad till a couple of guys here had a problem with me just taking a jab in a joking manner at him. The amount of support the fans are giving this guy before he does anything is kind of silly.

I credit him for what he did with Notre Dame as far as college football goes. I credit him for NOTHING in the NFL yet. NOTHING. I don't credit him for what he could potentially, hopefully, maybe do. I want to see it. What's wrong with that? And what's wrong with me not wanting this kid to get even more headlines negative headlines which I promise you he will have if he continues to act the way he did in college.

I'd rather this team address it before the national media has to. You guys may be taking my comments in the form of an attack on Jimmy, but really, I truly say them with Jimmy's best interest in mind.

#1 .. You should read more tweets from athletes. I think you are reading way more into that tweet than you should.

#2. .. You really should step away from Panthers football for a day or 2.

#3... If you are on vacation, um... your doing it wrong.

I don't think it really has much to do with Jimmy per-se. It was just a d-bag thing to say in general.

dude, come one, the kid is looking to draw attention to himself. It's obvious. He has a Jimmy Clausen.org website. He loves to bask in the spotlight. He showed up to Notre Dame in a limo wearing a crown. Ok?

Le me re-state that. As a, freshman, he showed up to Notre Dame wearing a crown in a limo.

He told us we just made the best draft pick earlier this season.

We can't/shouldn't be easy on him.

wow you got some issues.

what kid doesn't want to draw attention to himself?

you're busting him for having his own website? you realize how many athletes...scratch that..people on this planet have their own websites?

you got something against rich people who have close families? he showed up in a stretch so his whole family (extended family) could all ride together instead of taking a bunch of cars for the most important moment of his life so far. they rented it because they could. his fault? good luck proving that.

also good luck proving that he wore a crown. i'd like to see a link to anything with proof that he did and even if he did, you do realize that he was only 19 years old, right? who wasn't full of themselves at that age?

keep on finding reasons to hate, though. it's pretty funny how high of a horse you think you're on. great entertainment.

I actually think Jimmys tweets are refreshing compared to other athletes.

He needs to learn to add some humor though, his are kind of stale. He needs to look to Aaron Rodgers for guidance, not only is he a top 5 QB, he is a talented Twitterer.

I think he got burned so badly about his image that there's no way he puts anything out in the public that isn't super vanilla. Not just talking about the humiliation of his draft free-fall, but just think of the massive amount of money he lost because "lol i heard he's a dick".

I mean, the guy hasn't done anything negative since being drafted by us and he's still getting knocked and is probably one of the most disliked players on our team.

I went from thinking he was a douchebag to feeling bad for him in the span of about a week after the draft.

If only he had some sort of a "life coach" who could tell him about his trials and tribulations while selling cars, things might be different.

I'm married and have an 11 year old daughter. I used to enjoy being around them, but once I realized the amount of time I was just WASTING with having a personal life, I pretty much just stay at work and do IT things.

I send them money sometimes and hear my kiddo is in school or something.

What an arrogant asshole.

Yeah, a real heartfelt statement.

Goes along with....."well you know we are just day-to-day", "i thought we made some great plays and missed some others", "we need to fix our problems".

Here dude, let me give you an example of what I am talking about.

"For the offense not to score any points and not even stay on the field in the second half, nobody was happy. Unacceptable."

Brady characterized the problem as "execution. We couldn’t complete passes, we couldn’t stay on the field, we couldn’t run the ball, we didn’t really convert any third downs. We couldn’t make enough plays in the run game or passing game. We hung our defense out to dry, giving them the ball back and sending them out on the field."

"I think when it comes down to these second half games and our level of toughness, we've got to go out there and play tougher," said Tom Brady. "There were times where I think we had opportunities to do a better job out there and we didn't. That's all of us, starting with me. I have to do a better job of leading this team and certainly execute better when it's crunch time."

"It's going to be a long week, I can promise you that," Brady said. "We've got to get better in a lot of areas." - Tom Brady after their loss to the Jets yesterday.

Does that sound like Brady is going to give a poo about a movie tomorrow night? Or how about our ex:

"It's disappointing; I will say that," Delhomme, who was wearing a boot, said in the locker room. "I've been very lucky in my career injury-wise. It's embarrassing to me, that's just kind of the way I look at it. That's just the way that I am. I believe you should be out there with your guys. But I know this is for the best." - after his first game this season.

You can tell both of these guys, are sincere, genuinly pissed, and all they think about is how to win the next game.

And Jimmy going " Hey yall what movie should I check out tonight?" doesn't exactly give me that kind of a vibe, you know?

agreed.

i laughed at the downfall and screamed bloody murder when we drafted him. i bought the hype about him that everyone was dishing out. i started looking at what he had to work with at ND and what he brought to the table there, the amount of talent and training he has that goes beyond what many players have had.

i became convinced that there was reason for some of his supposed arrogance or, more appropriately labeled confidence or self assuredness. he has the talent and everything he has done so far has done nothing but show it, even through the losses at ND he showed a high level of play. were he surrounded with a better/not quite so incompetent complement of players, he would have won a whole lot more. you put him in a situation like bradford or sanchez had and you would see even better stats than he had and all the wins.

while here he has done nothing but be everything that people hoped he would be and none of what people feared he would be.

it's time that people started pulling their heads out of their constipated anuses and take a real look at him.
