Stick with Moore! The season is NOT over~

you really think Clausen is more of a project than those QB's? WOW! I think there are lots of football analyst that would disagree with you. Anyone can tell you Clausen is ready to start, he played in a pro style offense in college and had a worse O-line than what we have now. Clausen WILL be a great QB, he is our Francise, he is our FUTURE! Stop hatin and pay attention, you will see when that kid hits the field he flat out KNOWS how to play football and is light years ahead of Flacco!

I hope you are right but he really hasn't done anything to impress me so far. He looks like a guy that needs at least a few more weeks to adjust to the speed of NFL defenses. He didn't play against that in college. He needs to be faster to the decision and that comes from practice and film study. This is probably a moot point if Moore keeps getting knocked out of games.

4.5 yds / attempt is an awful performance, and is not NFL quality.

In 2009 only 4 QB's had an average below 6.0, and two of those were 5.9

The bottom 2 in the league (Brady Quinn and Jamarcus Russell) were 5.2

4.5 wouldn't even make the chart:

http://www.nfl.com/stats/categorystats?season=2009&seasonType=REG&d-447263-o=2&conference=null&tabSeq=0&statisticCategory=PASSING&d-447263-p=1&d-447263-s=PASSING_AVERAGE_YARDS&d-447263-n=1

Wouldn't make the top 32 in 2010 either:

http://www.nfl.com/stats/categorystats?season=2010&seasonType=REG&d-447263-o=2&conference=null&tabSeq=0&statisticCategory=PASSING&d-447263-p=1&d-447263-s=PASSING_AVERAGE_YARDS&d-447263-n=1

And a 33.8 QB rating wouldn't either:

http://www.nfl.com/stats/categorystats?season=2010&seasonType=REG&d-447263-o=2&conference=null&tabSeq=0&statisticCategory=PASSING&d-447263-p=1&d-447263-s=PASSING_PASSER_RATING&d-447263-n=1

If I had played, thrown 1 pass, and it was incomplete, my rating would be 39.6 !

Well of course he does but a few more weeks to get used to something is a lot different than a low potential ceiling...Clausen may not be Peyton but he will be at least as good as Ryan, IMO, and way better than Flacco...I think any Panther fan can live with that!

That may be true but he really didn't win much at ND. Matt Ryan threw a TD in his first throw for Atlanta. Peyton is Peyton. Do you really think Jimmy is that good? College means little and Jimmy didn't win much there.
he was surrounded by crap at ND. he had a couple good receivers when they weren't getting hurt or whatever but he had no Olinee, no run game (not his fault), and no defense. he was the only reason they won the games they did.

it's what he did in those situations that impressed most people and why i and many believe that he can and will succeed at the next level.

btw...clausen a project? no more than ryan, flacco, sanchez, bradford, stafford, big ben, or even that kid that beat us yesterday.

we were sitting here hoping we had the next delhomme or maybe even the next kurt warner while we drafted what could much more likely be a perennial top 5-10 QB.

let's this guy who has the most potential get on the field and make this team his. it's a young team, lets get it started with him as the man right away and let them all grow up together.

I would like to see our play calling and OL sured up before we throw another qb under the bus.No reason to destroy another perfectly good qb.Wake up Fox!!!!!!!!

Moore missed a couple of wide open receivers yesterday, can't hang that on coaching.

Funny how Clausen isn't struggling like Moore?

What scares me about Clausen is that he stares down his WRs more then I would like. We just played a bottom of the league team and got beat convincingly. Imagine whats going to happen when we play good teams.

All I can say is Otah cant recover fast enough.

Against Tampa Bay Clausen had a 33 passer rating and 1 INT with no TDs. How is that not struggling??? In junk time with the other team playing prevent he should have done much better than he did.

He still had more completions then Moore did though. This just seems like 2009 over again. The backup should be better but the starter sucks.... So lets just lose the rest of the season on the guy who sucks instead of learning more about the backup.
