Stick with Moore! The season is NOT over~

Moore sucks. There is a reason Fox stuck with Delhome so long last season. Poor decision making. The problem is Clausen can't do much better......yet.

Stick with Moore if you can and let Jimmy learn. Then next year get an offensive mind in Carolina and either do something with Jimmy or find someone else. Fox is gone win or lose.

You learn playing. Ask Peyton Manning.

There's an old saying in North Carolina — I know it's in Texas, probably in North Carolina — that says, fool me once, shame on — [pauses] — shame on you. Fool me — [pauses] — You can't get fooled again.

The Moore I think about it the Moore I think he is the son of the Devil. His father Jerry Jones allowed him to come to Carolina to torture us. Think GOD we all have JC! Just look at his initials JC....Plus he was able to be near Touchdown Jesus for all those years. I even thought I saw white doves flying over the stadium today when he walked out on the field.

I'm not a big fan of putting Clausen in this early. Said that plenty.

But with that said, Moore hasn't really shown much this season to indicate he deserves loyalty.

i'm interested in your take on this situation.

1) you believe that the QB should be given a year or two before getting the start

2) you also believe that once a QB is pulled, it should be for good.

i used to share your belief about the QB needing a couple years but the evidence is mounting that rookie QBs are quite capable of jumping in and doing well. grooming the QB is no longer needed...at least not in the sense that you put a clipboard in his hand and let him learn from the grownups. you give him a big running game and limit his throwing the first year to limit his chances of big mistakes and then as he learns and gains confidence he will be given more responsibility.

i have no reason to doubt clausen's ability to take over the job. you compare him with the QBs that have come out and started in the past 2-3 years and he is at least as good as these guys and probably is more ready to start than most of them.

i do agree with once you pull the QB that he should be kept out. the decision to yank him shouldn't have been taken lightly and it does no good for a team to start jumping back and forth between a couple QBs.

the team is going to be clausen's eventually anyway, why not just go ahead and let him grow with this young team with him as the leader?

Lots of QBs have. Ask David Carr how being thrown into the fire too early works out. He isn't ready yet!
you don't need to carry a clipboard anymore to learn the game. you learn the best by being put in there and being allowed to grow into the job. you just have to be able to protect the QB from mistakes. that means running the ball a whole lot and throwing the ball very little.

the QBs that have succeeded in their first year the past few years have done just that.

You learn in the film room not on the field. Clausen needs more time. Its unfortunate he has no one better ahead of him to learn from but throwing him into the fire now will not work out any better in the short term and may hurt in the long term.

Are you saying Clausen = Matt Ryan, Joe Flacco, Peyton Manning, etc.

I think he is more of a project.

And what makes you say that? Jimmy had a more successful college career at a much bigger school than 2 out of those 3, and was thought of by pretty much everyone to be a high first round pick.
