Do you think we go after a OC for next Head coach?

Not an OC but I kind of like Mike Zimmer. I also like Gruden to some extent and Sean McDermott as well.

Gruden has been interviewing on the air for the last year for the job as Panthers HC.

Dunno who we'll get, but I wouldn't mind someone with coaching experience. If they can convince Meeks to stick around, having an offensive-minded guy wouldn't be terrible.

Whoever we get, I want someone that will bring in some aggressiveness. Particularly on defense. We have a very fast team, but I don't think we take enough advantage of that speed. I really believe the players we have would thrive in an attacking style defense like the Jets and Ravens employ. That's why I really like the idea of McDermott from Philly, or maybe the Jets DC that was mentioned. I really don't want another read and react guy.

If we do go with an offensive guy, I think Harbaugh would be ideal. I think he is an excellent coach, and his version of the WCO would play right into Clausen's hands. I believe our receivers would do well in that offense (particularly with the year of seasoning under their belt), and our RB's can all catch and do everything you need from a WCO RB. I don't think our offensive talent is really best suited to the deep passing game Fox seems to like.

Gruden would LOVE to get his hands on this offense. I thought he believed he'd be coaching Jimmy Clausen the way he was all over him in that Fox segment. He knows our team better than anyone and almost drools when talking about DWill & Smitty. Gruden could fix our offense.

I'd give him a shot ONLY if Meeks stayed in place as DC/asstHC. It seems as though Foxy is loosing this team. I like our coach. I just wish he could change.

Good chance for Mike McCoy too. He is developing a pretty good resume, Steve Smith in 2002 as WR Coach, Delhomme in 2003 as QB coach, Moore in 2007 as QB coach, 2009/10 Bronco's as offensive coordinator.

If not him a young, hungry guy offensive minded HC and keeping Meeks will do.

i see alot of good names posted but someone i would like to see is Russ Grimm, i think this team needs a attitude adjustment. having someone who likes to punch people in the mouth(redskins, steelers) would be a welcome sight. Grimm almost got the steelers job a few years ago and also has ties to Hurney(redskins)
