Stop e-stalking me and get a life dude. You don't have any idea what you're talking about. I've been a "fan" since '95. I remember watching Collins play in the flesh during the first season at ERICCSON Stadium. I sat out in the freezing cold last year to watch a meaningless game against the Saints. Don't come at me with your BS.

This poo that's gone on with coaching, ownership, and the front office this past year and half turns my stomach. It's like watching your only child doing drugs and flunking school, and there isn't poo you can do about it. So... you turn away a little and focus on something else...or you vent some... or you go crazy.

I just watched two weeks of some of the worst football this team has ever played. I'm venting a little, so give me a break.

The Panther's fan 5 stages of grieving:

1-Denial-"this can't be happening to the Panthers!", looking for former team members in familiar line ups and practice routines. Putting on a your #90 Peppers, or #17 Delhomme jersey. No crying. Not accepting or even acknowledging a loss.

2-Anger-"why the Panthers?", feelings of wanting to rant on the Huddle forum, or find and assault the coaches for poor play calling. Wanting to defecate on the stadium sidewalk or burn jerseys. Anger at former players, blaming them for leaving.

3-Bargaining-bargaining often takes place before the loss. Attempting to suggest that the front office make trades for other players, or bench starters for backups. Begging, wishing, praying for the team to bring in some talent or do something to pull out a win.

4-Depression-overwhelming feelings of hopelessness, frustration, bitterness, self pity, mourning loss of a winning record. Feeling lack of control, feeling numb. Perhaps feeling like you are going to never watch another Panther's game again or pull for another team.

5-Acceptance-there is a difference between resignation and acceptance. You have to accept the losses, not just try to bear it quietly. Realization that it involves problems on an organizational level to have a losing record. Realization that the team will lose games, and it's not your fault as a fan. Finding the good that can come out of the pain of loss, like higher 1st round draft picks can give you comfort and healing. Our goals turn toward future growth. Stay with fond memories of 2003.

I'm getting through #4 right now.
