Out of 3, Let Gross walk

I would let Gross walk, it is the only logical smart thing to do. You still have Ryan Kalil, Jeff Otah, and Travelles Wharton. All probowl snubs in my book. You keep them and Let Gross walk. Gross can't rush the passer and he can't pass the ball to Steve Smith and Moose. You don't do anything stupid. You don't be an ass and let Delhomme go, or try to do something dumb like looking in FA or draft for a QB. Jake has qualities you can't draft or find in FA. You keep him if you want any shot at a title. And on the other side, you keep Peppers because he still had 15 sacks, probowler and is one of the rare freaks athletically off the edge that you will ever see. He is one of the keys to every playoff run Carolina makes, as well as Jake. You can still win withouth Gross, but can't without Peppers or Jake. And besides, with runningbacks as good as DeAngelo and Jonathan, they will still be dominant regardless.. especially if you are still running behind Otah, and Gross has false start issues like crazy anyway. Hopefully Fox and Hurney think like me.

Now why the hell would Peppers be gone? think about what you just said. What wins championships?

With his comments, it seems like he doesn't like something about our team, coaches or scheme or whatever it may be. If he wants out then let him, I don't want a player who doesn't want to be here.

You let Gross walk and you still have Otah, Wharton and Kalil. 3 of the best linemen in the NFC? whats so hard to understand about that. Letting Peppers go for a bunch of good players will be a mistake. Thats not how you build a team. You let him go, it better be for another stud either at his position or another. You always keep the core of your team in order to win championships. We let Milloy, Washington, Antoine Smith and others walk. But we kept Seymor, Brady, and etc

Were not saying we want peppers to go, but it does seem at this point he doesn't want to play here. In that case you sign your LT and keep him then trade the player who doesn't want to be here. I say we cut lewis, landon johnson, lucas, Hackett, and a player or two then trade peppers (if he doesn't want to be here) Pick up a big free agent or a couple of middle tier ones, then use the draft to shore up our defense and maybe pick up another option at WR and OG.

Defensive pressure using just the front four is a whole line thing, you can't just have one guy and expect him to do it by himself, he's got to have a supporting cast to be consistent. If he want's to go I'd rather us have a lineup of something similar to this. Johnson, Kemo, Wilfork, fa or draft pick. with brayton, lewis and taylor being the main switch out guys.

Our best unit and saving grace this year was the running game, not the Defense

I'd rather keep the line together, hopefully gross won't want a HUGE contract because there will be some crappy teams throwing bucketloads of money at him

If we can trade peppers we would get a 1st rounder(and a few other picks), plus a huge amount of cap room to use.

I'd rather keep peppers and gross. But considering what it would potentially take to keep peppers. I'd rather keep gross.

Oh ok, I didn't know he no longer wanted to play in Carolina any more

He hasn't said it, but it was "I want to do what's best for the team" types of comments. That coupled with the fact that he turned down a deal that would make him the highest paid DE in the league, people conclude that he wants out of carolina.
