Darin Gant's Tweet on Jarrett

NE, Houtson, Indy, NO, etc. Put Jarrett in a team that is a passing team (that runs multi Wr sets)....he would be solid. No doubt. He is what he is....and a QB would love a big old target they know will catch anything for yards. People want to bash him b/c of his weaknesses....good coaches just recognize and play to strengths. Jarrett probably doesn't need to start.....but he has proven enough he should be part of gameplans for what he does so well.

You are out of your mind, if his ass is on the bench here, then he sucks. Those teams you mentioned have complicated offenses, that require WR's to make reads also. Jarrett can't even pickup Davidsons game plan. Dude is a bust and should have been cut last year. I'll bet if he is cut, none of the teams you mentioned pick him up... Jarrett will go down in Panther history as

a bust and his stats prove it. Now that he opened his big mouth and the only guy, Moore, who could wait 5 seconds for him to run his routes , has been benched. He will be inactive and then waived, thank God!!!!

lol @ all of the armchair GMs here who only know what they read by beat reporters and because he isn't on the field people automatically assume he's trash.

I hope this guy gets the hell out of this cesspool and comes back and thrashes us next year. I believe that is what will happen as well. Out of the 5 snaps he was on the field Sunday he was open three of those plays, and not to mention the other two were runs. Dwayne Jarrett needs to get far away from Charlotte, this is the new destination where receivers go to die.

Those teams play completely different football. 3 and 4 WR sets. An emphasis on OL pass protection.

It is nonsense about Jarrett not knowing offense....it was the same made up fiction fans said about Moore last year. Jarrett doesn't fit here.....when he is put on the field in rare multi WR sets he has no trouble getting open when plays develop and has hands of glue. Which makes him a great fit for a NFL team playing 2010 style football. Stats don't prove anything except he gets about 5 snaps when activated.....in a running offense you ain't gonna get stats with those chances. If Jarrett doesn't know the offense b/c of a handful of plays in the wrong position or running wrong routes....then the same can be said about Steve Smith b/c he does those same things at times.....all WRs have those moments.

    • I just switched to prime video with fanduel south. Will I be able to watch the Canes playoff games still?
    • I mean, you can use that "logic," but the problem is that most practice squad players, backups or average guys don't put the play on film that Wharton did when given their opportunities.  Perhaps you'll end up right, but I don't think that just because a guy has been in a rotation makes him inherently less productive because he gets more snaps. I will say that the KC fans I've seen on social media loved him, and considered him their second best DT,  regardless of his "rotational" status, and generally considered him a dawg, so I'm going to give him the benefit of doubt until he shows otherwise.
    • Did I miss something?  The people we have developing players now are not the ones we've had in the past so I don't know what the heck people are talking about when they say we are not good at developing players right now.  We only have one year to go on.  Canales likes young players or players who are on an upward trajectory, especially in FA this year.  Past QB's and what he's done with Bryce are good examples. Tershawn Wharton - 26 Tre'von Moehrig - 25 Pat Jones II - 26 Bobby Brown III - 24 Michael Jackson - 28 Jaycee Horn - 25 Tommy Tremble - 24 We missed on Milton Williams but he's 26. Everyone else we picked up are on 1 year deals.  The Panthers new front office and Canales absolutely scream developmental team. Pick 8 (stay) Tier 1 Elite - Abdul Carter, Travis Hunter and Mason Graham Tier 2 Elite - Jalon Walker, Mykel Williams, Will Johnson Trade down: There are quite a few really good players that fit us at Edge, DT, S and WR mid to late 1st and high 2nd.  Some combos that would be possible that I really like.  Imagine getting 2 of these guys by trading down. Stark, Pierce Jr, Golden, Scourton, Grant, Emmanwori, Ezeiruaku, Umanmielen, Deone Walker, Harmon and this is just off the top of my head.
