Then when he starts for us next year and plays with a major chip on his shoulder, you will love him again. I will bump this back to the top so we can all see who the bandwaggoners are.

I'm not a huge Jake fan by any stretch, but I don't think it would make sense to release him b/c our options are very limited at this point. Moore and McCown are unproven, the FA market for QB is very slim, and odds of getting a potential starter in the draft are not good for us without a 1st rounder and the lack of talent at QB coming out in 2009. We would be foolish not plan for a future starter in 2010 IMO.

dont get me wrong, Jake let me down in a major way. He played the worst game of his career in a game we were pumped up to dominate. I live in missouri so I had about 25 people texting me mouthing. Then I would ask how the chiefs played this year and they would not text back. But, Jake is still an average QB capable of leading us to the SB. We are not a passing team, so dont need an elite QB. If we changed now, it would take a year or two just to get the chemistry back on the team.

No Way. Moore is not the answer, McCown is a joke, we don't have a first rnd pick, and there is no FA QBs available that would fit here. Warner not coming to a running team and probley to late in his career to even be considerd. Collins no place in Charlotte and anyone else is a bum. Jake will be our starter next season, but we do need him to renegotiate his deal.
