I met Everette Brown last night

Good question, and I hope not for his sake. If he wants to succeed, ths chance is there for the taking... he just has to want it bad enough.

Just seemed to me that people were getting a little too critical of his offtime is all. I mean, how would they like it if their customers complained that they are partying on a weekend night when the package that they expected to arrive on Thursday, wasn't going to get there until Monday. Flippant response aside, it amounts to about the same bitching in my book.

At the Marvin Ridge/Ardrey Kell game. It's amazing how big NFL players are that he can look like a pipsqueak child at times on Sundays, but he looks like a massive behemoth when surrounded by regular folks.

Good to see him soaking in football on his Friday night rather than going to Dwayne Jarrett's "Makin' It Rain" party last night.

You Tell him that you thought he was going to be a bust and was pissed the Panthers traded up to get him?

I mean, to be honest... there's nothing wrong with partying it up. As long as you don't shoot yourself in the leg, or punch someone in the face, or try and sneak drunk b!tches into a secluded bathroom to rape them. And if it's not the night before a game. Dwayne Jarrett is still a kid anyway. Hell, him and I are the same age and I'm still in college.

to me...throwing a party during the season says he isn't working hard enough.

guys calm down its a party on a friday night....at least he wasnt in a college bar bathroom with a drunk girl.

or going to mexico the weekend before his playoff game.

there's 4 and half months that, IMO, there should be little outside of football for people who want to be starters. having a good time is all good. i just feel throwing a party distracts more than a night out like we've seen in the past from other players. that leaves 7 and half more months to do whatever you want outside of mini and training camp. unless the team makes the playoffs, but we'll cross that bridge IF we get there. throw a party every weekend for all i care during that time.

Nobody has a problem with a guy who "works hard and plays hard".

However, when you're a guy with a rep for not working as hard as you should, and you're looking to prove to your coaches and teammates that you're a starter rather than a slacker, it's generally a good idea to pull back on the partying.

People tend to think Jarrett just doesn't get it, and so far this season, he isn't doing much to change that perception.
